Income and Expense (Part 2)

WHAT TO LOOK FOR...

I got a lot of flack on the discussion on “What to look for in the income
and expense statement”. One of the things mentioned was “Insurance”. Yes,
insurance is an item that deserves scrutiny. You never know what is
included. It may jut be the insurance on the campground, it may include
health care on the owners. Anything large should be examined to determine
what makes up the number.

I will give you a clue…. From our examination of many, many income and
expense statements the average for insurance is about 3.25% of gross. The
smaller campgrounds will be larger, the larger campground will be less. Get
all the averages and several real life income and expense statements,
