Why
Gore Will Win
Published Feb. 12, Winter Haven News Chief
The race for the Presidency is over.
The final piece fell into place with the South Carolina primary.
George Bush, after getting waxed in the New Hampshire primary saw the
need to change and fight it out for the nomination.
As we see the fight and fight back we see two candidates totally inept at
this type of political infighting. They
may learn the moves, but they have little time to practice.
The primaries are fast drawing to a close and it will take a lot of
practice for these two to get up to speed on the current more of slash and
burn political campaigning.
In the New Hampshire Primary Mr. Bradley realized the
need to fight back and point out the lies of Mr. Gore and to correct the
record on his plans for the country. Mr.
Bradleys laconic, logical discussion about lies and misrepresentation were
woefully inadequate in todays media driven campaigns.
You have to call a lie a Lie.
You cannot say that something is not in line with the facts.
Al Gore has the skills and the lack of conscious that
allows him to say anything, never mind what has happened in the past, no matter
what positions he has taken in the past. In
this day and age& what you say is more important than what you do.
Let me give you and example. Mr. Gore recently complained that Mr. Bradley after 14 months
has finally given a speech on education. Mr.
Gore and President Clinton always include education in the mantra of the
things they are concerned about, along with health care, social security.
They have had nearly 8 years to DO something about education.
After these 7 plus years how are our schools better?
Worse yet, they pander to the teachers unions all the time& but I ask
How are teachers any better now than in 1992.
Another prime example is Campaign Reform.
Everybody is in agreement that we need campaign reform.
If you are really passionate about it, we really need meaningful
campaign reform. The problem& reform means very different things to different
people. One mans reform is not
the same as the other mans. Mr.
McCains problem is that he has actually proposed a specific reform. This
confirms the problem. His reform is
not the same as someone else and he will be and is
attacked on the specific details.. In
todays world of politics, he should have come out four square for
REFORM and delete the details.
To confirm my theory, Mr. Gore talks and talks about
campaign reform (do details) after participating in the trashing of the system
in the 1996 campaign. If you think
about it, it does not pass the laugh test.
Fortunately for Mr. Gore, few think.
It is more important to Talk about than to Do
something.
How has this happened?
The major cause is the inability to reason, think and make a logical
decision. Is there any more
evidence needed than the many, many people in New Hampshire who could vote in
either primary were agonizing over whether to vote for McCain or Bradley.
They represent two different philosophies.
Maybe not poles apart, but obviously different in their view or how
government should work. During the
New Hampshire primary they were the anointed candidates of the media.
So Mr. Gore will be the next President.
He has mastered the politics of the times.
Talk and talk about something, dont propose or do something.
Not to worry about contradictions, just say what works today.
He realizes that we may say we dont want a fight, but the American
people love a fight. They like to
get charged up, take sides and see who wins.
There is nothing so unsatisfying to us than a compromise.
We pay respects to Cant we all get along, but we want a fight
and we want to win!
The final lesson is to keep that knife handy so you
can quietly sink into the back of the opponent.
Congratulations to Mr. Gore. The
American people get what they want and unfortunately, what they deserve.
